Your first steps with Rise Budget

Welcome to Rise Budget

Rise Budget is a simple desktop app for managing your personal or household finances. This guide will help you get up and running in just a few minutes.

Download & Install

First, download Rise Budget for your operating system. The app is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

First Launch

Enter your license key (from your purchase email) to activate the app

Import Your Data

Export your bank transactions as a CSV file, then import them into Rise Budget.

  1. Go to the Import CSV page from the sidebar
  2. Click 'Select File' and choose your CSV file
  3. Verify the column mapping and date format, then click 'Continue'
  4. Review the transactions and click 'Import All Transactions'

Repeat this process for each of your bank accounts and credit cards to get a complete picture of your finances.

Tips for Success

  • Import transactions at the end of each month to keep your budget up to date
  • Set monthly budgets for each category in the Budget Planner to track your spending goals
  • Add household members in the Categories page and assign them to transactions to keep track of their income and expense totals
